J-Rod’s Week 3 Section 9 Power Rankings

  1. Newburgh (2-0): Coach Bill Bianco preparing for Pine Bush with a spy in his inner circle, Pine Bush grad Andy Toback, AKA the Vince Lombardi of jayvee football coaching.
  2. Pine Bush (2-0): You knew about Anthony Potts and Xavier Martinez in Pine Bush’s backfield, but how about Tyler Waller (174 yards vs. Valley Central last week).
  3. Cornwall (2-0): Likely won’t get challenged in Class A until Port Jervis in last week of regular-season.
  4. New Paltz (2-0): Dismantling of Spackenkill last week was impressive.
  5. Marlboro (2-0): Speaking of notable performances. Marlboro lit up rival Highland last week.
  6. Warwick (2-0): Quarterback Jared Senius doing nice job early on in debut for the Wildcats.
  7. Monroe-Woodbury (1-1): Free safety Tyler Toledo, a junior, set to have a big year for the Crusaders.
  8. Port Jervis (2-0): The long bus trek to Roosevelt had no effect on Port in a big win last week.
  9. Middletown (2-0): Coach Dick Wolslayer, er, Tim Strenfel off to great start in first season.
  10. Valley Central (1-1): Played Pine Bush tough. Valley Central is certainly legit and not to be forgotten about.
